Classroom:Howard carries a 2.25 gpa as a plant science and landscape horticulture major. He has plans to work in the "Green Industry" (Landscape Architecture/Design/Green Development) for a year after graduation and then would like to attend graduate school to obtain a master's degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field.
Character:According to his coach Howard has been a good student-athlete to work with, he is always very polite and easy to work with for his teammates, coaches, administrators, and media members. He has worked extremely hard to come back from knee injury suffered in the fall of 2006 and continue to be a standout player.
Community:Partcipated in the Wilmington Lacrosse Youth Rally, spent a day working with youth on their lacrosse skills and talking about his experiences in the game. He has worked with youth at summer sports camps and is active in the Delaware-Towson Pigskin Pass, a partnership between UD and Towson athletes to raise money for Special Olympics.
Competition:Fifth-year senior on attack for Delaware men's lacrosse team in 2008 who returns after missing all but two games during the 2007 season during which Delaware advanced to the NCAA Final Four and won the Colonial Athletic Association title. Named Inside Lacrosse/Face Off Magazine Pre-Season All-American. He led the 2005 team to the NCAA Tournament. Has been a three-time All-CAA selection. As of Feb. 29, 2008 he has totalled 67 goals and 85 assists for 152 and ranks No. 5 all-time at Delaware in assists and No. 11 in total points.
